Payment Options

Credit card and E-check payments are accepted via Paypal. We also accept cashier's checks, USPS money orders, and of course cash (if picking up animals locally). Electronic checks must clear through paypal (which usually takes 5-7 working days after payment has been initiated).

Deposits/Payment Plans

All animals are considered sold to the first person that inquires AND sends payment in full, unless some other terms have been arranged. Please contact us first before sending payment (1) to ensure the animal(s) you are interested in are still available and (2) to receive a shipping quote.

As fellow hobbyists, we understood that there may be times you see an animal you'd like to get, but don't have all the money to purchase outright. In many cases, someone with a serious intent of acquiring an animal from us, can arrange to hold the animal and/or make a purchase with a payment plan. To place an animal on hold, a non-refundable deposit (25% of the purchase price of the animal(s) plus estimated shipping costs) is usually required. The remaining balance must be paid in-full within 30 days of initiating the hold. As soon as the balance is paid, we will attempt to make shipping arrangements with the buyer, given weather conditions are satisfied.

If there is a remaining balance left on account after 30 days, the 25% nonrefundable deposit will be forfeited, the animal(s) will be taken off hold, and placed back up for sale. Only under unusual circumstances will the nonrefundable deposit be refunded (i.e. we can't provide the animal you purchased). We are hobbyists ourselves and understand life sometimes throws us surprises. If you have an animal on hold with us, and something serious comes up that would impair your ability to satisfy the conditions expressed above, please contact us in writing as soon as possible. The sooner we hear from you, the more apt we are to work with you through your situation.

Domestic Shipping

Animals are shipped via USPS Express, FedEx Priority Overnight, or Delta Dash (same day). When shipping USPS Express, we reserve the right to deny a buyer the option of choosing this as a shipping method. USPS does not offer 1-day transit times to all areas of the country and in those cases, FedEx or Delta Dash shipping services will have to be used. We only ship Monday through Wednesday (rarely Thursday). This is to ensure in the rare case a shipment is lost in transit, there are business days left in the week where the carrier can attempt to recover and deliver your package. If choosing Delta Dash for your preferred method of delivery please note that we are subject to flight availability. We will make every attempt to work with you in determining an appropriate flight time to deliver your package to your local airport. Because this service affords same-day shipping/delivery, we can usually ship Monday through Friday.

Animals are well-packed in heavy duty, corrugated shipping boxes, featuring styrofoam walls no thinner than 1" thick. Heat/cold packs are avoided when possible and used only when necessary. Boxes are clearly labeled "Perishable, Live Harmless Animal" and will have other pertinent identifying information (such as species and number of animals in parcel). We reserve the right to postpone shipping if weather is potentially hazardous for the animals while in transit. Shipping cost are not refundable.

Guarantees

All animals are guaranteed to be healthy and feeding well at the time they are shipped. Live arrival is guaranteed under normal circumstances for domestic shipping. We have no control over how animals are cared for after they leave here, so we limit our guarantee to 72 hours after delivery. Sexed animals are guaranteed to be sexed correctly. We guarantee all animals are accurately depicted in the photos we provide. Please note that shipping (even same-day) is stressful for the animals and other husbandry factors can affect their color or even their appetite. Giving the animal(s) a few days to become acclimated and keeping them under optimal conditions, will help ensure they continue to thrive for you as they have for us.

If you notice something irregular upon receiving your animal(s) (i.e. animal(s) appear overly lethargic or incorrectly sexed), please notify us in writing as soon as possible. The sooner we know there is potentially a problem, the better we can work at remedying the situation. If we do not hear of a problem from you within 72 hours of delivery, we will assume you are completely satisfied with your purchase and we are free from all liabilities (expressed or implied).

We cannot guarantee any animal's personality or temperament. We cannot guarantee adult coloration of juvenile animals. We cannot guarantee fertility of animals, unless they are proven breeders and sold as such. We go to great lengths to provide solid support for other hobbyists whether they are customers of ours or not. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
